In addition to the two Uppsala teams, 62 other teams played in Flickor 2006 D2. They were divided into 7 different groups, whereof Uppsala HK 1 could be found in Group 1 together with Lugi HF 2, Alingsås HK 2, Växjö HF, Staffanstorps HK, IK Lågan Hörby 1, Hammarby IF Sthlm 2, IFK Kristianstad 1 and Eslövs IK 1.

Uppsala HK 1 continued to C-Slutspel after reaching 8:th place in Group 1. In the playoff they made it to Semi final, but lost it against Halmstad Handboll 3 with 5-7. In the Final, Tollarps IF 1 won over Halmstad Handboll 3 and became the winner of C-Slutspel in Flickor 2006 D2.
