In addition to the two Lugi teams, 62 other teams played in Flickor 2006 D2. They were divided into 7 different groups, whereof Lugi HF 2 could be found in Group 1 together with Alingsås HK 2, Växjö HF, Staffanstorps HK, Uppsala HK 1, IK Lågan Hörby 1, Hammarby IF Sthlm 2, IFK Kristianstad 1 and Eslövs IK 1.

Lugi HF 2 continued to B-Slutspel after reaching 5:th place in Group 1. In the playoff they made it to Semi final, but lost it against Vinslövs HK 2 with 6-10. In the Final, Trelleborg HBK Trelleborgs HBK won over Vinslövs HK 2 and became the winner of B-Slutspel in Flickor 2006 D2.
