In addition to the three Halmstad teams, 47 other teams played in Pojkar 2000 A2. They were divided into 5 different groups, whereof Halmstad Handboll 2 could be found in Group 1 together with Ystads IF HF 1, Enköpings HF 1, IFK Tumba Sthlm 1, Alingsås HK 1, Lugi HF 2, Huddinge HK Sthlm 2, Önnereds HK Gbg Lag 2, Karlskrona Handboll 1 and IFK Kristianstad 2.

Halmstad Handboll 2 continued to A-Slutspel after reaching 1:st place in Group 1. In the playoff they made it to 1/4 Final, but lost it against Karlskrona Handboll 2 with 8-10. In the Final, Borlänge HK won over Lugi HF 2 and became the winner of A-Slutspel in Pojkar 2000 A2.

Halmstad Handboll also participated in Pojkar 2000 A1 during Åhus Beachhandboll Festival 2016. They reached the 1/8 Final in P00 A-Slutspel, but lost it against LUGI HF 1 with 8-10.
