In addition to the two IFK Kristianstad teams, 48 other teams played in Pojkar 2000 A2. They were divided into 5 different groups, whereof IFK Kristianstad 2 could be found in Group 1 together with Ystads IF HF 1, Enköpings HF 1, Halmstad Handboll 2, IFK Tumba Sthlm 1, Alingsås HK 1, Lugi HF 2, Huddinge HK Sthlm 2, Önnereds HK Gbg Lag 2 and Karlskrona Handboll 1.
IFK Kristianstad 2 continued to A-Slutspel after reaching 2:nd place in Group 1. In the playoff they made it to Semi final, but lost it against Borlänge HK with 9-10. In the Final, Borlänge HK won over Lugi HF 2 and became the winner of A-Slutspel in Pojkar 2000 A2. IFK Kristianstad also participated in Pojkar 2000 A1 during Åhus Beachhandboll Festival 2016.
