In addition to the 6 IFK Kristianstad teams, 72 other teams played in Pojkar 2002 B2. They were divided into 8 different groups, whereof IFK Kristianstad 5 could be found in Group 4 together with Halmstad Handboll Lallare, IK Bolton Sthlm 2, HK Ankaret Bjärred Lag 3, Norrköpings HK 2, Älmhult Handboll, H43 Lund 6, Önnereds HK Gbg 1, Ystads IF HF 5 and IK Lågan Hörby.
IFK Kristianstad 5 continued to A-Slutspel after reaching 1:st place in Group 4. In the playoff they made it to Semi final, but lost it against HK Silwing/Troja Sthlm with 9-13. In the Final, LVHK Lödde 1 won over HK Silwing/Troja Sthlm and became the winner of A-Slutspel in Pojkar 2002 B2. IFK Kristianstad also participated in Pojkar 2002 B1 during Åhus Beachhandboll Festival 2016.
