In addition to the three Halmstad teams, 56 other teams played in Pojkar 2006 D2. They were divided into 6 different groups, whereof Halmstad Handboll 1 could be found in Group 3 together with Ljunghusens HK 1, Eslövs HF 2, Växjö HF 1, Karlskrona Handboll 1, IFK Kristianstad 1, IK Lågan Hörby 1, Tollarps IF, Ystads IF HF 1 and OV Helsingborg HK.

Halmstad Handboll 1 continued to B-Slutspel after reaching 5:th place in Group 3. In the playoff they made it to 1/8 Final, but lost it against H 65 Höör with 7-8. In the Final, H 78 Sölvesborg 2 won over IFK Kristianstad 1 and became the winner of B-Slutspel in Pojkar 2006 D2.

Halmstad Handboll also participated in Pojkar 2006 D1 during Åhus Beachhandboll Festival 2016. They reached the 1/8 Final in P06 B-Slutspel, but lost it against Alingsås HK 2 with 3-4.
