In addition to Borlänge HK, 49 other teams played in Pojkar 2000 A2. They were divided into 5 different groups, whereof Borlänge HK could be found in Group 3 together with Trelleborg HBK, Halmstad Handboll 1, HK Eskil Eskilstuna, Enköpings HF 2, H43 Lund 1, IFK Bankeryd, Vinslövs HK, IFK Tumba Sthlm 2 and Önnereds HK Gbg Lag 1.
Borlänge HK made it to A-Slutspel after reaching 2:nd place in Group 3. Once in the playoff they won every match inluding the Final against Lugi HF 2, which they won with 10-4. Thereby Borlänge HK won the entire A-Slutspel in Pojkar 2000 A2 during Åhus Beachhandboll Festival 2017. Borlänge HK also participated in Pojkar 2000 A1 during Åhus Beachhandboll Festival 2016.
