In addition to the two Borlänge teams, 48 other teams played in Flickor 2001 A1. They were divided into 5 different groups, whereof Borlänge HK 2 could be found in Group 5 together with IFK Tumba Sthlm IFK Tumba HK Blå, LVHK Lödde, H43 Lund 2, Kärra HF Göteborg 2, HK Ankaret Bjärred, IK Baltichov Gbg 2, HK Silwing/Troja Sthlm 2, Ronneby HK and IFK Kristianstad 1.

Borlänge HK 2 continued to A-Slutspel after reaching 3:rd place in Group 5. In the playoff they made it to 1/8 Final, but lost it against Uppsala HK 1 with 7-9. In the Final, Uppsala HK 1 won over Gustavsbergs IF HK and became the winner of A-Slutspel in Flickor 2001 A1.

Borlänge HK also participated in Flickor 2001 B2 during Åhus Beachhandboll Festival 2016. They reached the 1/4 Final in F01 A-Slutspel, but lost it against Näsby Handboll 1 with 9-10.
