In addition to the two Aranäs Kungsbacka teams, 57 other teams played in Pojkar 2006 D2. They were divided into 6 different groups, whereof HK Aranäs Kungsbacka 1 could be found in Group 1 together with Göinge HK, IFK Bankeryd 2, Uppsala HK 1, H 78 Sölvesborg 1, Önnereds HK Gbg Grön, Ystads IF HF 2, Åhus Handboll 2, Kävlinge HK and Staffanstorps HK Östrand.

HK Aranäs Kungsbacka 1 continued to B-Slutspel after reaching 8:th place in Group 1. In the playoff they made it to 1/8 Final, but lost it against Staffanstorps HK Östrand with 5-8. In the Final, H 78 Sölvesborg 2 won over IFK Kristianstad 1 and became the winner of B-Slutspel in Pojkar 2006 D2.
