In addition to Kristianstad HK, 31 other teams played in Öppen klass Damer. They were divided into 4 different groups, whereof Kristianstad HK could be found in Group 2 together with H43 Lund 2, HK Malmö, Vinslövs HK 1, Girls just wanna have fun!, Söderbönor 1, IFK Kristianstad 2 and Flensborg.
Kristianstad HK continued to A-Slutspel after reaching 1:st place in Group 2. In the playoff they made it to Semi final, but lost it against Uffes Brudar with 9-11. In the Final, Uffes Brudar won over H43 Lund 1 and became the winner of A-Slutspel in Öppen klass Damer. Kristianstad HK also participated in Elit Dam during Åhus Beachhandboll Festival 2016.
