In addition to the three Sävehof teams, 54 other teams played in Pojkar 2001. They were divided into 6 different groups, whereof IK Sävehof 1 could be found in Group 2 together with Lugi HF 2, Halmstad Handboll 1, Ystads IF HF 3, Åhus Handboll 1, H43 Lund HF 3, Enköpings HF, IFK Tumba HK 1 and Eslövs HF 1.

IK Sävehof 1 made it to A-Slutspel after reaching 1:st place in Group 2. Once in the playoff they won every match inluding the Final against Göteborg Beach Handball Club (Borlänge HK), which they won with 11-10. Thereby IK Sävehof 1 won the entire A-Slutspel in Pojkar 2001 during Åhus Beachhandboll Festival 2018.
