In addition to the two IFK Ystad teams, 43 other teams played in Pojkar 2008. They were divided into 5 different groups, whereof IFK Ystad HK 1 could be found in Group 5 together with Kävlinge HK 1, Alingsås HK 4, Åhus Handboll 2, Trelleborg Handbollsklubb, Vinslövs HK 2, Tyresö Handboll, H 78 Sölvesborg 2 and H43 Lund HF.

IFK Ystad HK 1 continued to A-Slutspel after reaching 1:st place in Group 5. In the playoff they made it to 1/8 Final, but lost it against Kävlinge HK 2 with 4-6. In the Final, Ystads IF HF 1 won over Lugi HF 3 and became the winner of A-Slutspel in Pojkar 2008.

IFK Ystad HK also participated in Pojkar 2008 E during Åhus Beachhandboll Festival 2017. They reached the 1/8 Final in P08 A-Slutspel, but lost it against Uppsala HK with 6-14.
