In addition to the two Kävlinge teams, 43 other teams played in Flickor 2001. They were divided into 5 different groups, whereof Kävlinge HK 1 could be found in Group 4 together with IFK Tumba HK 1, Föreningen Karlskrona Handboll, Ystads IF HF Vit, Halmstad Handboll, Kärra HF, Trelleborg Handbollsklubb, HK Ankaret 1 and Eslövs IK 1.

Kävlinge HK 1 continued to B-Slutspel after reaching 6:th place in Group 4. In the playoff they made it to 1/8 Final, but lost it against Kävlinge HK 2 with 8-12. In the Final, IK Sävehof 1 won over IFK Kristianstad 1 and became the winner of B-Slutspel in Flickor 2001.

Kävlinge HK also participated in Flickor 2001 A1 during Åhus Beachhandboll Festival 2017. They reached the Semi final in F01 C-Slutspel, but lost it against Halmstad Handboll with 9-13.
