In addition to the two Mönsterås teams, 28 other teams played in Pojkar 2001. They were divided into 3 different groups, whereof Mönsterås HK 1 could be found in Group 3 together with HK Aranäs, Halmstad Handboll 3, H43 Lund HF 1 Vit, Åhus Handboll Röd2, Vinslövs HK, Tyresö Handboll, Uppsala HK 2, IK Bolton 2 and OV Helsingborg HK.

Mönsterås HK 1 continued to C-Slutspel after reaching 10:th place in Group 3. In the playoff they made it to 1/4 Final, but lost it against IFK Kristianstad 1 with 11-12. In the Final, Halmstad Handboll 2 won over IFK Kristianstad 1 and became the winner of C-Slutspel in Pojkar 2001.

Mönsterås HK also participated in Pojkar 2001 during Åhus Beachhandboll Festival 2018. They reached the 1/4 Final in P01 C-Slutspel, but lost it against Ystads IF HF 2 with 10-12.
