In addition to the four Kungälvs teams, 76 other teams played in Flickor 2004. They were divided into 8 different groups, whereof Kungälvs HK svart could be found in Group 2 together with Eslövs IK 1, Huddinge HK 2, Lödde Vikings HK 1, Kärra HF svart, IFK Malmö HF gul, HK Eskil 1, Ovesholms IF 2, HK Ankaret Vit and H43 Lund HF 2 NF.

Kungälvs HK svart continued to B-Slutspel after reaching 7:th place in Group 2. In the playoff they made it to 1/8 Final, but lost it against Eslövs IK 3 with 5-9. In the Final, Halmstad Handboll 2 won over Eslövs IK 3 and became the winner of B-Slutspel in Flickor 2004.
