In addition to the two Hammarby teams, 60 other teams played in Flickor 2002. They were divided into 7 different groups, whereof Hammarby IF HF Vita could be found in Group 4 together with Lugi HF 1, Eslövs IK, Kärra HF 2, Höörs HK H 65, IFK Tumba HK 1, Kristianstad HK 1, Back on Track Beachhandbolls Club and Finspångs HK FHK.

Hammarby IF HF Vita continued to B-Slutspel after reaching 8:th place in Group 4. In the playoff they made it to 1/16 Final, but lost it against Trelleborg Handbollsklubb hbk with 3-7. In the Final, IK Lågan Hörby won over H43 Lund HF 2 and became the winner of B-Slutspel in Flickor 2002.

Hammarby IF HF also participated in Flickor 2002 during Åhus Beachhandboll Festival 2018. They reached the Semi final in F02 C-Slutspel, but lost it against Tyresö Handboll with 8-9.
