In addition to the two Finspångs teams, 60 other teams played in Flickor 2002. They were divided into 7 different groups, whereof Finspångs HK FHK could be found in Group 4 together with Lugi HF 1, Eslövs IK, Kärra HF 2, Höörs HK H 65, Hammarby IF HF Vita, IFK Tumba HK 1, Kristianstad HK 1 and Back on Track Beachhandbolls Club.

Finspångs HK FHK continued to C-Slutspel after reaching 9:th place in Group 4. In the playoff they made it to 1/4 Final, but lost it against Tyresö Handboll 1 with 5-8. In the Final, Borlänge HK 3 won over Kristianstad HK 3 and became the winner of C-Slutspel in Flickor 2002.
