In addition to the three Kävlinge teams, 59 other teams played in Flickor 2002. They were divided into 7 different groups, whereof Kävlinge HK 3 could be found in Group 2 together with Höörs HK H 65 03, VästeråsIrsta HF, IFK Tumba HK 2, IFK Kristianstad 2, Falu HK and Raklev G&I.
Kävlinge HK 3 continued to A-Slutspel after reaching 3:rd place in Group 2. In the playoff they made it to 1/16 Final, but lost it against Lugi HF 2 with 8-11. In the Final, Eslövs IK won over Alingsås HK 1 and became the winner of A-Slutspel in Flickor 2002. Kävlinge HK also participated in Flickor 2002 during Åhus Beachhandboll Festival 2018.
