In addition to the two Borlänge teams, 27 other teams played in Flickor 2001. They were divided into 3 different groups, whereof Borlänge HK 2 could be found in Group 2 together with IFK Kristianstad, IFK Tumba HK 2, Bjärnums HK, Halmstad Handboll Chex on the Beach, Eslövs IK 1, Vassunda IF, Torslanda HK THK, H43 Lund HF and Alingsås HK 2.

Borlänge HK 2 continued to B-Slutspel after reaching 6:th place in Group 2. In the playoff they made it to Semi final, but lost it against IK Lågan Hörby with 7-10. In the Final, Vassunda IF won over IK Lågan Hörby and became the winner of B-Slutspel in Flickor 2001.

Borlänge HK also participated in Flickor 2001 during Åhus Beachhandboll Festival 2018. They won A-Slutspel, after beating Kärra HF in the final with 12-10.
