In addition to Bjärnums HK, 28 other teams played in Flickor 2001. They were divided into 3 different groups, whereof Bjärnums HK could be found in Group 2 together with IFK Kristianstad, IFK Tumba HK 2, Halmstad Handboll Chex on the Beach, Eslövs IK 1, Vassunda IF, Torslanda HK THK, H43 Lund HF, Alingsås HK 2 and Borlänge HK 2.

Bjärnums HK continued to A-Slutspel after reaching 3:rd place in Group 2. In the playoff they made it to 1/8 Final, but lost it against Gustavsbergs IF HK with 10-11. In the Final, Kärra HF 1 won over IFK Kristianstad and became the winner of A-Slutspel in Flickor 2001.
