In addition to OV Helsingborg HK, 29 other teams played in Pojkar 2001. They were divided into 3 different groups, whereof OV Helsingborg HK could be found in Group 3 together with HK Aranäs, Halmstad Handboll 3, H43 Lund HF 1 Vit, Åhus Handboll Röd2, Vinslövs HK, Tyresö Handboll, Uppsala HK 2, IK Bolton 2 and Mönsterås HK 1.

OV Helsingborg HK continued to B-Slutspel after reaching 5:th place in Group 3. In the playoff they made it to Semi final, but lost it against H43 Lund HF 1 Vit with 8-10. In the Final, H43 Lund HF 1 Vit won over HK Aranäs and became the winner of B-Slutspel in Pojkar 2001.

OV Helsingborg HK also participated in Pojkar 2001 during Åhus Beachhandboll Festival 2018. They reached the final in B-Slutspel, but lost it against Växjö HF with 8-9 and ended up in second place.
