In addition to the two Halmstad teams, 21 other teams played in Pojkar 18 år (födda 2004). They were divided into 3 different groups, whereof Halmstad Handboll 2 could be found in Group 1 together with H43 Lund HF 04, IK Bolton Medborgarplatsen, Åhus Handboll lag 2, Uppsala HK UHK Blå, IFK Kristianstad 2, Borlänge HK and Alingsås HK.

Halmstad Handboll 2 made it to A-Slutspel after reaching 1:st place in Group 1. Once in the playoff they made it all the way to the Final, but lost it against Uppsala HK UHK Blå with 8-9. Thereby Halmstad Handboll 2 finished second in P18 (f. 2004) A-Slutspel during Åhus Beachhandboll Festival 2022.
