Joulupukki was one of 226 clubs from Sweden that had teams playing during Åhus Beachhandboll Festival 2023. They participated with one team in Öppen klass Herrar.

In addition to Joulupukki, 54 other teams played in Öppen klass Herrar. They were divided into 7 different groups, whereof Joulupukki could be found in Group 7 together with Mönsterås HK Energikrisen BK, Vakant HK, U-Laget, Jaga FC, Södra Lund, Powerheat Radio and Svampbob Trekant.

Joulupukki continued to A-Slutspel after reaching 2:nd place in Group 7. In the playoff they made it to 1/8 Final, but lost it against Lödde Vikings HK Abbes drängar with 8-10. In the Final, Kärlekens boys won over SALOS DRÄPARE and became the winner of A-Slutspel in Öppen klass Herrar.

Joulupukki comes from Halmstad which lies approximately 120 km from Åhus, where Åhus Beachhandboll Festival takes place. The area around Halmstad does also provide four additional clubs participating during Åhus Beachhandboll Festival 2023 (Dansa Med HK, Återkommarna och Nybörjaren, Halmstad Handboll and Kärlekens boys).
