Södra Lund was one of 226 clubs from Sweden that had teams playing during Åhus Beachhandboll Festival 2023. They participated with one team in Öppen klass Herrar.

In addition to Södra Lund, 54 other teams played in Öppen klass Herrar. They were divided into 7 different groups, whereof Södra Lund could be found in Group 7 together with Mönsterås HK Energikrisen BK, Vakant HK, U-Laget, Joulupukki, Jaga FC, Powerheat Radio and Svampbob Trekant.

Södra Lund continued to A-Slutspel after reaching 4:th place in Group 7. In the playoff they made it to 1/16 Final, but lost it against Dalby with 8-11. In the Final, Kärlekens boys won over SALOS DRÄPARE and became the winner of A-Slutspel in Öppen klass Herrar.

Södra Lund comes from Furulund which lies approximately 79 km from Åhus, where Åhus Beachhandboll Festival takes place. The area around Furulund does also provide 64 additional clubs participating during Åhus Beachhandboll Festival 2023 (Among others: Sopis, Staffanstorps HK, Guldkustens HK, HK Micro, Byfånarna, Mammas pojkar, Bäst före detta, IK Sund, Powerheat Radio and Södra Rörum).
