In addition to the two Chalmers teams, 70 other teams from 4 different countries played in Öppen klass Herrar Classic. They were divided into 9 different groups, whereof Chalmers HK 2 could be found in Group 3 together with Västerås Slitna HF, ÅlisÄrPappa, Kulltorp Rockets, Los Matadores, Benestad United, Åhus Handboll and Holy shit IF.

Chalmers HK 2 continued to A-Slutspel after reaching 4:th place in Group 3. In the playoff they made it to 1/16 Final, but lost it against Åboll with 10-11. In the Final, Böffes Juniorer won over Kaffekaga fc and became the winner of A-Slutspel in Öppen klass Herrar Classic.
