In addition to the two Åhus teams, 70 other teams from 4 different countries played in Öppen klass Herrar Classic. They were divided into 9 different groups, whereof Åhus Handboll could be found in Group 3 together with Västerås Slitna HF, ÅlisÄrPappa, Kulltorp Rockets, Los Matadores, Chalmers HK 2, Benestad United and Holy shit IF.

Åhus Handboll continued to B-Slutspel after reaching 5:th place in Group 3. In the playoff they made it to 1/4 Final, but lost it against Dalby with 7-9. In the Final, Dalby won over Roslagens Jullar and became the winner of B-Slutspel in Öppen klass Herrar Classic.
