In addition to the two Åhus teams, 70 other teams from 4 different countries played in Öppen klass Herrar Classic. They were divided into 9 different groups, whereof Åhus Handboll 1 could be found in Group 6 together with Roslagens Jullar, Dalby, Claessons lärjungar, Håkans Bötta, Avgå Alla, Josagrogg and Halmstad Solgårdens Soldater.

Åhus Handboll 1 continued to B-Slutspel after reaching 7:th place in Group 6. In the playoff they made it to 1/4 Final, but lost it against Vakant HK with 7-11. In the Final, Dalby won over Roslagens Jullar and became the winner of B-Slutspel in Öppen klass Herrar Classic.
