In addition to Rimbo HK Roslagen, 49 other teams played in Pojkar 2000 A1. They were divided into 5 different groups, whereof Rimbo HK Roslagen could be found in Group 1 together with IK Cyrus JKöping, Åhus Handboll 1, Borlänge HK, Uppsala HK 2, Skånela IF Märsta, IFK Kristianstad 2, Ystads IF HF 2, Bromölla AIK and OV Helsingborg HK.

Rimbo HK Roslagen continued to B-Slutspel after reaching 5:th place in Group 1. In the playoff they made it to 1/4 Final, but lost it against Karlskrona Handboll 2 with 10-11. In the Final, Ystads IF HF 1 won over LUGI HF 2 and became the winner of B-Slutspel in Pojkar 2000 A1.
