In addition to the two Halmstad teams, 40 other teams played in Flickor 1999 A2. They were divided into 4 different groups, whereof Halmstad Handboll 2 could be found in Group 4 together with Gökstens BK Torshälla, Kristianstad HK, H43 Lund 1, LUGI HF 1, H 65 Höör 2, Alingsås HK 2, Rimbo HK Roslagen, Trelleborg HBK 2, IFK Tumba Sthlm 2 and Borlänge HK.

Halmstad Handboll 2 continued to B-Slutspel after reaching 8:th place in Group 4. In the playoff they made it to 1/8 Final, but lost it against Halmstad Handboll 1 with 10-12. In the Final, Uppsala HK 1 won over IF Guif Eskilstuna and became the winner of B-Slutspel in Flickor 1999 A2.
