In addition to the two Halmstad teams, 40 other teams played in Flickor 1999 A2. They were divided into 4 different groups, whereof Halmstad Handboll 1 could be found in Group 2 together with Eslövs IK, Uppsala HK 1, IK Sävehof Partille, H 65 Höör 1, KFUM Lundagård, LUGI HF 3, Karlskrona Handboll, IFK Tumba Sthlm 1 and Näsby Handboll 1.

Halmstad Handboll 1 continued to B-Slutspel after reaching 5:th place in Group 2. In the playoff they made it to 1/4 Final, but lost it against IF Guif Eskilstuna with 14-18. In the Final, Uppsala HK 1 won over IF Guif Eskilstuna and became the winner of B-Slutspel in Flickor 1999 A2.
