In addition to the three Karlskrona teams, 63 other teams played in Pojkar 2001 B2. They were divided into 7 different groups, whereof Karlskrona Handboll 2 could be found in Group 6 together with LVHK Lödde, Åhus Handboll 2, Tollarps IF, Eslövs HF 3, IK Bolton Sthlm 1, HK Eskil Eskilstuna, IFK Kristianstad 3 and Alingsås HK 1.

Karlskrona Handboll 2 continued to B-Slutspel after reaching 8:th place in Group 6. In the playoff they made it to 1/16 Final, but lost it against Karlskrona Handboll 1 with 4-9. In the Final, Ystads IF HF 2 won over Eksjö BK and became the winner of B-Slutspel in Pojkar 2001 B2.
