In addition to the two Ystads teams, 62 other teams played in Flickor 2006 D2. They were divided into 7 different groups, whereof Ystads IF HF YIF 1 could be found in Group 7 together with Tyresö Handboll 1, Huddinge HK Sthlm 2, Ronneby HK 3, Lugi HF 1, Rørby-Værslev IF (DK), Kristianstad HK 3, LVHK Lödde 4, IFK Bankeryd and Ljunghusens HK 1.

Ystads IF HF YIF 1 continued to B-Slutspel after reaching 6:th place in Group 7. In the playoff they made it to 1/4 Final, but lost it against Trelleborg HBK Trelleborgs HBK with 4-10. In the Final, Trelleborg HBK Trelleborgs HBK won over Vinslövs HK 2 and became the winner of B-Slutspel in Flickor 2006 D2.

Ystads IF HF also participated in Flickor 2006 D1 during Åhus Beachhandboll Festival 2016. They reached the 1/4 Final in F06 C-Slutspel, but lost it against Halmstad Handboll 1 with 1-3.
