In addition to Kävlinge HK, 27 other teams played in Damer Junior 97-99. They were divided into 3 different groups, whereof Kävlinge HK could be found in Group 3 together with H 65 Höör 1, H 78 Sölvesborg, IK Sävehof Partille, H43 Lund 2, Gökstens BK Torshälla, IFK Tumba Sthlm, IFK Kristianstad 1 and Uppsala HK 1.

Kävlinge HK continued to A-Slutspel after reaching 1:st place in Group 3. In the playoff they made it to Semi final, but lost it against Eslövs IK with 8-10. In the Final, Uppsala HK 1 won over Eslövs IK and became the winner of A-Slutspel in Damer Junior 97-99.
