In addition to the 6 IFK Kristianstad teams, 64 other teams played in Pojkar 2003. They were divided into 7 different groups, whereof IFK Kristianstad 2 could be found in Group 5 together with Göinge HK, Lugi HF 4, HK Aranäs 1, Hultsfreds HF, H43 Lund HF 3, Eskilstuna Guif IF 1, Alingsås HK 1, IF Swithiod and Eslövs HF 2.
IFK Kristianstad 2 made it to A-Slutspel after reaching 2:nd place in Group 5. Once in the playoff they made it all the way to the Final, but lost it against IK Lågan Hörby with 11-12. Thereby IFK Kristianstad 2 finished second in P03 A-Slutspel during Åhus Beachhandboll Festival 2018. IFK Kristianstad also participated in Pojkar 2003 B1 during Åhus Beachhandboll Festival 2017.
