In addition to the two Föreningen Karlskrona teams, 55 other teams played in Pojkar 2001. They were divided into 6 different groups, whereof Föreningen Karlskrona Handboll 2 could be found in Group 4 together with Ystads IF HF 2, Halmstad Handboll 2, IK Bolton 4, Eslövs HF 2, Uppsala HK 2, IK Sävehof 2, H43 Lund HF Big Ballers and Åhus Handboll 3.

Föreningen Karlskrona Handboll 2 continued to B-Slutspel after reaching 7:th place in Group 4. In the playoff they made it to 1/4 Final, but lost it against Åhus Handboll 1 with 9-10. In the Final, Växjö HF won over OV Helsingborg HK and became the winner of B-Slutspel in Pojkar 2001.
