In addition to the two Halmstad teams, 55 other teams played in Pojkar 2001. They were divided into 6 different groups, whereof Halmstad Handboll 2 could be found in Group 4 together with Ystads IF HF 2, IK Bolton 4, Eslövs HF 2, Föreningen Karlskrona Handboll 2, Uppsala HK 2, IK Sävehof 2, H43 Lund HF Big Ballers and Åhus Handboll 3.

Halmstad Handboll 2 continued to A-Slutspel after reaching 5:th place in Group 4. In the playoff they made it to 1/16 Final, but lost it against H43 Lund HF 3 with 7-10. In the Final, IK Sävehof 1 won over Göteborg Beach Handball Club (Borlänge HK) and became the winner of A-Slutspel in Pojkar 2001.

Halmstad Handboll also participated in Pojkar 2001 A1 during Åhus Beachhandboll Festival 2017. They reached the Semi final in P01 A-Slutspel, but lost it against Borlänge HK with 10-11.
