In addition to the three Halmstad teams, 75 other teams played in Flickor 2006. They were divided into 8 different groups, whereof Halmstad Handboll Halmstad handboll 1 could be found in Group 1 together with Tomelilla IF, Alingsås HK 3, Huddinge HK 1, Hammarby IF HF 1, Ljunghusens HK, IFK Malmö HF, Lödde Vikings HK 2, Växjö HF 1 and IFK Kristianstad 1.
Halmstad Handboll Halmstad handboll 1 continued to A-Slutspel after reaching 4:th place in Group 1. In the playoff they made it to 1/16 Final, but lost it against Eslövs IK 3 with 5-13. In the Final, Alingsås HK 1 won over Eslövs IK 3 and became the winner of A-Slutspel in Flickor 2006. Halmstad Handboll also participated in Flickor 2006 D2 during Åhus Beachhandboll Festival 2017.
