In addition to Halmstad Handboll, 44 other teams played in Flickor 2001. They were divided into 5 different groups, whereof Halmstad Handboll could be found in Group 4 together with IFK Tumba HK 1, Föreningen Karlskrona Handboll, Ystads IF HF Vit, Kävlinge HK 1, Kärra HF, Trelleborg Handbollsklubb, HK Ankaret 1 and Eslövs IK 1.

Halmstad Handboll continued to C-Slutspel after reaching 8:th place in Group 4. In the playoff they made it to 1/8 Final, but lost it against Borlänge HK 2 with 6-10. In the Final, IK Sävehof 2 won over Ystads IF HF and became the winner of C-Slutspel in Flickor 2001.

Halmstad Handboll also participated in Flickor 2001 A1 during Åhus Beachhandboll Festival 2017. They won C-Slutspel, after beating IK Lågan Hörby 2 in the final with 9-6.
