In addition to the 6 H43 Lund teams, 51 other teams played in Pojkar 2001. They were divided into 6 different groups, whereof H43 Lund HF 6 could be found in Group 3 together with OV Helsingborg HK, Eskilstuna Guif IF, Växjö HF, IK Lågan Hörby, IK Bolton 1, IFK Kristianstad 1, HK Aranäs, Alingsås HK and Tyresö Handboll.

H43 Lund HF 6 continued to A-Slutspel after reaching 4:th place in Group 3. In the playoff they made it to 1/16 Final, but lost it against Uppsala HK 1 with 10-11. In the Final, IK Sävehof 1 won over Göteborg Beach Handball Club (Borlänge HK) and became the winner of A-Slutspel in Pojkar 2001.
