In addition to Strömstad HK, 79 other teams played in Flickor 2006. They were divided into 8 different groups, whereof Strömstad HK Svart could be found in Group 5 together with Eskilstuna Guif IF 2, Åhus Handboll 1, Eslövs IK 1, Vinslövs HK 2, Växjö HF Svart, Tyresö Handboll 2, Halmstad Handboll Röd, H43 Lund HF 1 and Uppsala HK 1.

Strömstad HK Svart continued to A-Slutspel after reaching 4:th place in Group 5. In the playoff they made it to 1/16 Final, but lost it against Alingsås HK 1 with 7-10. In the Final, Alingsås HK 1 won over Eslövs IK 3 and became the winner of A-Slutspel in Flickor 2006.
