In addition to the three Alingsås teams, 77 other teams played in Flickor 2006. They were divided into 8 different groups, whereof Alingsås HK 1 could be found in Group 1 together with Tollarps IF 1, Ronneby HK 1, Eslövs IK 2, Kristianstad HK 2, Hammarby IF HF 1, Lugi HF 2, Gustavsbergs IF HK, Höörs HK H 65 1 and Halmstad Handboll Vit.
Alingsås HK 1 made it to A-Slutspel after reaching 1:st place in Group 1. Once in the playoff they won every match inluding the Final against Eslövs IK 3, which they won with 8-7. Thereby Alingsås HK 1 won the entire A-Slutspel in Flickor 2006 during Åhus Beachhandboll Festival 2019. Alingsås HK also participated in Flickor 2006 during Åhus Beachhandboll Festival 2018.
