In addition to the two Alingsås teams, 27 other teams played in Flickor 2001. They were divided into 3 different groups, whereof Alingsås HK 2 could be found in Group 2 together with IFK Kristianstad, IFK Tumba HK 2, Bjärnums HK, Halmstad Handboll Chex on the Beach, Eslövs IK 1, Vassunda IF, Torslanda HK THK, H43 Lund HF and Borlänge HK 2.

Alingsås HK 2 continued to A-Slutspel after reaching 2:nd place in Group 2. In the playoff they made it to Semi final, but lost it against IFK Kristianstad with 6-7. In the Final, Kärra HF 1 won over IFK Kristianstad and became the winner of A-Slutspel in Flickor 2001.

Alingsås HK also participated in Flickor 2001 during Åhus Beachhandboll Festival 2018. They reached the 1/4 Final in F01 A-Slutspel, but lost it against Höörs HK H 65 3 with 8-9.
