In addition to the four IFK Kristianstad teams, 55 other teams played in Pojkar 2002. They were divided into 6 different groups, whereof IFK Kristianstad 3 could be found in Group 3 together with IFK Malmö HF 1, IK Sävehof P03 Boysen, Hammarby IF HF 2, Lugi HF, Torslanda HK Blå, Raklev G&I HF Kalundborg 2, Ystads IF HF 2, Uppsala HK Snabba fötter and Halmstad Handboll 2.

IFK Kristianstad 3 continued to A-Slutspel after reaching 2:nd place in Group 3. In the playoff they made it to Semi final, but lost it against Tyresö Handboll with 10-15. In the Final, IK Sävehof 2 won over Tyresö Handboll and became the winner of A-Slutspel in Pojkar 2002.

IFK Kristianstad also participated in Pojkar 2002 during Åhus Beachhandboll Festival 2018. They reached the 1/8 Final in P02 A-Slutspel, but lost it against H43 Lund HF migogang with 10-12.
