In addition to the three Kävlinge teams, 59 other teams played in Flickor 2002. They were divided into 7 different groups, whereof Kävlinge HK 2 could be found in Group 6 together with AIK Handbollsförening, IFK Tumba HK 3, H 78 Sölvesborg, Tingsryds HK, IFK Kristianstad 3, Finspångs HK, H43 Lund HF 03, IK Sävehof and Spånga HK Sol.

Kävlinge HK 2 continued to A-Slutspel after reaching 5:th place in Group 6. In the playoff they made it to 1/16 Final, but lost it against IK Sävehof with 9-13. In the Final, Eslövs IK won over Alingsås HK 1 and became the winner of A-Slutspel in Flickor 2002.

Kävlinge HK also participated in Flickor 2002 during Åhus Beachhandboll Festival 2018. They reached the 1/4 Final in F02 A-Slutspel, but lost it against Kärra HF 1 with 9-11.
