In addition to Vassunda IF, 61 other teams played in Flickor 2002. They were divided into 7 different groups, whereof Vassunda IF could be found in Group 3 together with H43 Lund HF 3, Alingsås HK 1, Kristianstad HK 3, Borlänge HK 1, Sannadals SK Vit, Skuru IK, Trelleborg Handbollsklubb hbk and Kärra HF 3.

Vassunda IF continued to B-Slutspel after reaching 6:th place in Group 3. In the playoff they made it to 1/8 Final, but lost it against IK Lågan Hörby with 11-12. In the Final, IK Lågan Hörby won over H43 Lund HF 2 and became the winner of B-Slutspel in Flickor 2002.

Vassunda IF also participated in Flickor 2002 during Åhus Beachhandboll Festival 2018. They reached the 1/16 Final in F02 B-Slutspel, but lost it against Åhus Handboll 1 with 9-13.
