In addition to the four Borlänge teams, 58 other teams played in Flickor 2002. They were divided into 7 different groups, whereof Borlänge HK 1 could be found in Group 3 together with H43 Lund HF 3, Alingsås HK 1, Kristianstad HK 3, Vassunda IF, Sannadals SK Vit, Skuru IK, Trelleborg Handbollsklubb hbk and Kärra HF 3.

Borlänge HK 1 continued to A-Slutspel after reaching 2:nd place in Group 3. In the playoff they made it to 1/16 Final, but lost it against IFK Kristianstad 2 with 6-10. In the Final, Eslövs IK won over Alingsås HK 1 and became the winner of A-Slutspel in Flickor 2002.

Borlänge HK also participated in Flickor 2002 during Åhus Beachhandboll Festival 2018. They reached the 1/8 Final in F02 A-Slutspel, but lost it against Höörs HK H 65 3 with 9-15.
