In addition to the four Åhus teams, 36 other teams played in Pojkar 16 år (födda 2006). They were divided into 4 different groups, whereof Åhus Handboll 1 could be found in Group 1 together with IK Lågan Hörby, IFK Kristianstad 2, Lödde Vikings HK 2, IFK Malmö HF 1, HF Karlskrona, Borlänge HK, IFK Tumba HK Blå, Lugi HF Svart and Uppsala HK 1.

Åhus Handboll 1 continued to B-Slutspel after reaching 7:th place in Group 1. In the playoff they made it to 1/8 Final, but lost it against Lugi HF Vit with 13-14. In the Final, Lugi HF Vit won over RP IF Linköping and became the winner of B-Slutspel in Pojkar 16 år (födda 2006).
