In addition to Halmstad Handboll, 17 other teams played in Senior Förening Damer. They were divided into 2 different groups, whereof Halmstad Handboll could be found in Group 2 together with Chalmers HK, Hammarby IF HF, Åhus Handboll 4, Hässleholms HF /Bjärnum 2, Åhus Handboll 1, KFUM Lundagård, Stavsten HK and HK Björnen 2.

Halmstad Handboll made it to A-Slutspel after reaching 3:rd place in Group 2. Once in the playoff they won every match inluding the Final against Alingsås HK, which they won with 11-7. Thereby Halmstad Handboll won the entire A-Slutspel in Senior Förening Damer during Åhus Beachhandboll Festival 2023.
