Potatiskungarna was one of 226 clubs from Sweden that had teams playing during Åhus Beachhandboll Festival 2023. They participated with one team in Öppen klass Herrar.

In addition to Potatiskungarna, 54 other teams played in Öppen klass Herrar. They were divided into 7 different groups, whereof Potatiskungarna could be found in Group 2 together with HK Micro, KaffeKaga Beach Handball Club, Södra Rörum, Bolton Big Ballers 4, Claessons lärjungar, Dansa Med HK and Goa gubbar.

Potatiskungarna continued to A-Slutspel after reaching 4:th place in Group 2. In the playoff they made it to 1/16 Final, but lost it against ÅlisÄrInteSingel with 8-11. In the Final, Kärlekens boys won over SALOS DRÄPARE and became the winner of A-Slutspel in Öppen klass Herrar.

Potatiskungarna comes from Alingsås which lies approximately 250 km from Åhus, where Åhus Beachhandboll Festival takes place. The area around Alingsås does also provide 9 additional clubs participating during Åhus Beachhandboll Festival 2023 (IK Sävehof, HK Bollebygd, Kärra HF, Redbergslids IK, Wilma Thelandersson, Alingsås HK, Släktkalset, Bikini Bottom and Ale Handboll).
