In addition to the two Lågan Hörby teams, 64 other teams played in Pojkar 2001 B2. They were divided into 7 different groups, whereof IK Lågan Hörby 1 could be found in Group 1 together with Skogås HK Sthlm 1, IFK Bankeryd 2, Växjö HF 2, H43 Lund 3, Halmstad Handboll 1, IK Sävehof Partille, Norrköpings HK, Kävlinge HK 1 and Eslövs HF 1.

IK Lågan Hörby 1 continued to C-Slutspel after reaching 9:th place in Group 1. In the playoff they made it to 1/4 Final, but lost it against Skogås HK Sthlm 2 with 9-10. In the Final, Rimbo HK Roslagen won over Växjö HF 2 and became the winner of C-Slutspel in Pojkar 2001 B2.
